The Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory is a community-supported 501c3 non-profit that relies on the service of it's volunteers and Board Members.

Volunteers

Here at The Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory we depend on the time and effort donated by our volunteers. If it weren't for their generosity in the form of time, many of the wonderful programs and services provided to our guest wouldn't be possible. Volunteers do everything from helping with construction projects, feeding animals, giving astronomy presentations, and helping with rocketry classes and events. If you love nature, animals, astronomy, or rockets give us a call at (541) 593-4442, or stop by to speak with someone about volunteer opportunities.

Board Members

Our board members serve by the mission statement; Inspire present and future generations to cherish and understand our natural world. In order to fulfill the mission statement, board members here at The Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory (SNCO) play a vital role in providing direction for the organization as well as planning for the future. The board members also provide a valuable service to the community by their efforts in ensuring the services available here at SNCO will continue on for years to come. If serving the surrounding communities appeals to you, SNCO is always looking for experienced leaders to join our board. Please call (541) 593-4442 for information about joining our board and serving the Central Oregon communities.
